Home for the Aged Ratchasima

A new home for the aged opened in early 2017 in a nice location in central Korat. It sits in lovely grounds near the Meteorological Department in the Dech Udom area. Facilities are all brand new and the staff, from nurses to admin are all well trained to look after the elderly.

Accommodation varies depending on requirements, with shared rooms starting at 12,000 Baht per month up to private suites for 20,000 Baht per month. The main aim of the facility is to provide home care for the weak and the elderly, no matter what budget they are on.

The back story of The Home for the Aged Ratchasima:

In early 2011, the Bishop of Korat Mons. Chusak Sirisut visited the Camillian home for the elderly in Chantaburi. He was so inspired by the high level of care and the excellent work being done there that he requested the St. Camillus Foundation to build a home in his Diocese of Korat.

To support this initiative, the Bishop and Diocese donated 18 Rai or land to the Foundation in Korat.

An ecclesiastical agreement of endeavour, the Home for the Aged Ratchasima was officially opened on the 25th of February 2017.

This home has been opened to serve the elderly community in need. Camillian Home Ratchasima can accommodate 150 residents, 86 spaces in affordable housing and 64 spaces for the lower income elderly.

The home provides the basic needs of its residents, through good quality service and equipment, new facilities and a friendly environment for the aged.
